Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled WordPress Website Developer to build, maintain, and optimize custom websites for a variety of clients. This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and marketing strategy, ensuring that our websites are not only functional but optimized for performance, SEO, and user experience.

Starting salary of $60,000, with potential for growth based on experience and performance

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Development: Build new WordPress websites from the ground up using themes, page builders, and custom code where needed.

  • Site Management & Maintenance: Regularly update themes, plugins, and WordPress core; conduct routine security checks, backups, and performance monitoring.

  • Hosting & Deployment: Manage hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, SiteGround, GoDaddy); oversee domain and DNS management.

  • Optimization: Ensure sites are SEO-friendly, mobile responsive, fast-loading, and optimized for conversions. 

  • Client Support & Consulting: Serve as a subject matter expert for client questions and consultations. Provide clear, jargon-free explanations and recommendations.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve website issues, errors, and bugs efficiently.

  • Marketing Integration: Work closely with marketing teams to implement tracking pixels, lead capture forms, landing pages, and integrations with CRMs and email platforms. Support advanced analytics setups, including Meta Conversions API and other event tracking tools.

  • Documentation & Training: Create easy-to-understand documentation for clients and internal teams. Offer basic training to clients when handing off projects.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in WordPress development and maintenance.

  • Proficiency in CSS

  • Familiarity with popular themes and page builders.

  • Experience with marketing tools (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.).

  • Knowledge of website accessibility standards and GDPR compliance best practices.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Prior agency experience is a plus.​

Nice to Have

  • Graphic design experience (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma).

  • WooCommerce or eCommerce experience.

  • Experience with website migration and staging workflows.

  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Yoast, Rank Math).
